The revenue commissioner has outlined to over 1 million Irish households in the past week, their property tax for next year and the payment methods. The option to pay in full  is concerning retailers as this outflow of money will occur on the 27th November 2013, leaving households having to pay in full the remainder of this years property tax as well as all of next years. Retailers fear this large outflow of money will reduce each households Christmas spend and thus reduce their sales.

Many are hoping Revenue will reconsider this decision and allow people to pay 2014’s Property Tax in 2014.
