Angela Ahrendts CEO of Burberry since 2006, announces last week her move to apple.  This announcement resulted in a drop in investor confidence and thus a drop in Burberry shares by 6.2 per cent.

Ms. Ahrendts increased burberry’s sales to 2billion in 2012, as she strategically transformed Burberry from its “chav” links into a high end fashion brand again, proving just how important an indviduals strategy can be.

Ms.Ahrendts will be replaced by her wingman Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s creative director, with whom she has worked since 2006. With the hope that his vast knowledge and work and strategies will increase investor confidents once again and allow Burberry to continue to expand.
